SALMON ON THE RIBBLE.

On the higher reaches of the Ribble are the salmon spawning grounds and to reach them the salmon have to overcome various obstacles mainly waterfalls. At one of these locations I tried to capture images of the salmon as they jumped  the falls.I thought long and hard about posting these images as the fish aren`t sharp(human error on my part),but I will be back in the future to master the techniques  and capture these remarkable fish and do them the justice they deserve.

I'm amazed in a million ways with wildlife, not least with the Salmon and the pressures it puts itself through in order to get to the spawning ground.

Excellent images of the ordeal of the leap Martin....Great stuff.

Martin. Not a lot wrong with these!!!..They look OK to me.
We had a great time to try and capture what is a very difficult subject. Hopefully we will be back with the salmon next Autumn.
