MARTON MERE IMAGES.

I've visited Marton Mere 9 times at dusk to try and capture images of the starling roost, but they haven't played ball for me this year.On one or two occasions there have been nice sunsets and I have posted a few images of my efforts to capture the setting sun.The first image shows Whooper Swans flying off to roost, while the second image [if you look close enough] shows a sparrowhawk sat in the tree in the middle of the photograph waiting for the Starling to appear.

Martin. Lovely sunset shots from Marton Mere..what a great pity the starlings didn't oblige to make the pictures really special.Better luck next time.

have to agree with Brian, still lovely images despite the lack of Starlings, Likewise I have been hoping for the starlings but still no signs of any great gatherings down here!
