Back to Normal.

It seems so long since I posted on my blog, but we have had a major problem in our front garden with the weed horsetail.A decision for major surgery to the garden was taken and almost 16 tons of soil was taken out of the border and beds to be replaced by a double membrane, crush and run more membrane and finally slate. All our bee and butterfly plants had to be destroyed but hopefully the smaller ones will be replaced in pots in spring. To get my blog up and running again I've posted a few images of common birds that frequent the local feeding station.

An excellent comeback Martin. The Coal Tit is my most favourite of the family.

We all overlook our 'common' birds but these images are stunning Martin and really do them justice. Cracking set of photos.

The more I look at them, the more I like them – the subtlety in the composition, the muted backgrounds, the changes of light, the highlights, the sharpness – just everything is spot on – a truly great set of photos. You are not going to get any better than these, now it is only down to a change of subject. Impressive Martin, impressive.
