ISLE OF ARRAN RED SQUIRRELS.

The bird feeders in the garden of the old school house were we stayed had many visitors and two of the visitors were red squirrels.Looking through the windows the squirrels were fine open a door 15 yds away and they were off, truly wild.I set the car up as a hide and was out every morning at 5.30 am hoping to capture images of these shy animals.I`ve posted a few of my better efforts below and particularly like the third image of the squirrel with it`s tail over it`s head acting like an umbrella in the rain.

Great set of images Martin.

Wish we had them a bit closer to home though!

Hello Martin,

Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada. I never see any squirrels like this in my area; just the gray ones and a few black ones...and none of them have the extra long tufts of hair on their ears like the one in your photos here. Your photos are gorgeous and captivating!
