Pilling Moss Barn Owl.

A trawl over Pilling Moss on Monday afternoon I was surprised to see a Barn Owl hunting in broad daylight and was lucky enough to capture a few images as it hunted close to the road.I'm very pleased with my efforts and I've posted a few images below.

The hours I have spent looking or these but they must see me coming because I've never seen them in all their glory like this... suoer images Martin, well done, you timed it right and gain well worth the effort. Magic.

Has it got a ring on, Martin? I think quite a bit of ringing of Barn Owls is done Over Wyre. Great pictures in any event.

Again Martin , these are really good, the detail is just fantastic, I too noticed what I thought was a ring, I would be interested to know if it is a ring and who does this and why ?
Unrelated to your photos ...Stephen Halliwell is a name I remember from school days !! Eldon street county primary !! small world eh ha ha !!
