JACKDAWS AND ROOKS.

A few images of Jackdaws and Rooks taken at Lowther Gardens. These beautiful birds are overlooked by so many people, but to me they are photogenic, and I have tried to capture their true colours in the sunshine.

You've done a great job of capturing the glossy plumage of the birds Martin, and I agree, the common-place nature of the species allows them to be overlooked, which is a shame. I think the running/ take off shot of the Jackdaw is absolutely fantastic.

Fantastic photos Martin, I find these Black birds the most difficult to capture, I will keep experimenting :)

Martin. Yes you have done a great job capturing the character and plumage of these corvids. Agree with Chistian about the jackdaw shot. Thanks for great day out today and looking forward to seeing the results.

a Terrific series of photos Martin. Lowther Gardens is not somewhere I've ever thought of visiting, it's definitely on the radar after seeing these great shots!

Cheers
