EARLY MORNING AT NEWTON MARSH.

Two posts in one day,you can tell how bad the weather is in this neck of the woods.A couple of5.30am starts in good light has produced some nice and varied sightings and I have managed to capture a few of these with the camera. So quiet and peaceful at this time of the morning makes you feel close to nature.I`ve posted a few of my efforts below including young rabbit, brown hare, shoveler, redshank, blacktailed godwit, female mallard with young.

ROE DEER IN BOWLAND.

A few weeks ago riding through Bowland early morning I saw two Roe Deer in a field and managed to get a few images. The third image is a crop of the fourth image which is full frame.I`ve never been as close to a truly wild Roe Deer and for that fraction of a second we stood watching each other and I managed to to capture three images before she was off.A truly wonderful experience.

A TRIP TO BOWLAND.

On an unsettled and windy day weatherwise a trip to Bowland was the order of the day.The upper reaches of the River Wyre was the first port of call and a newly fledged dipper was seen being fed by the parents, closer to Scorton a few sandmartins were bickering over nest holes on a very small and rocky bank while a pied wagtail was collecting insects to feed the young wagtails hidden away in a wall.I`ve posted a few images captured on my enjoyable day out.
