PHALAROPE FEEDING at FAIRHAVEN.
What a difference a day makes as the song goes, but in this case 3.These posts of the Phalarope over the 3 days show the difference in the conditions, firstly giving extremely challenging conditions trying to get any images at all,to Thursday when it was a photographers dream. To me they all have merit and Tuesday images definitely deserved a posting. The images I'am posting today show the Phalarope feeding and I was very lucky to be able to capture a few images of this. Image 1 and 2 are the same shown in a different crop,I'am not sure which has the most effect, any comments please. Finally I posted the first image on Birdguides and totally c####d up resizing the image, it looks flat and uninteresting,I've a lot to learn.

PHALAROPE THURSDAY.
While the weather isn't fit to go birding I thought I would post another set of images of the Grey Phalarope at Fairhaven Lake.I hope I am not boring you ,but as this is such a special bird I make no apologies. The weather and light was just perfect on Thursday and I just couldn't resist going back to try and capture some more images of this little star.

PHALAROPE FRENZY.
After Tuesday's wild weather it had calmed down a bit on Wednesday so I travelled back to Fairhaven Lake to try to capture some more images of the Grey Phalarope.Quite a few photographers were present and an enjoyable time was had by all. There was still a breeze and a lot of cloud about, but at times the sun shone through to give better light.A few of my better efforts are shown below and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did spending time with this little star of a bird.

PHALAROPE AT FAIRHAVEN.
The last 3 days has seen a Grey Phalarope at Fairhaven Lake having been blown in by the gales. I am going to do 3 posts on this enchanting little bird showing the different conditions at Fairhaven. Tuesday the gale was still raging as this little bird was sighted at the east end of the lake.I have posted a few images from Tuesday showing the terrible conditions for photography. The little bird didn't seem to mind a bit feeding happily on the waves.

While the weather is so bad I thought I would post a few more images of the Great Crested Grebe and the Little Grebe taken at Mere Sands Wood in spring. I've tried to post some of these images before but been unsuccessful.I hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as I did capturing them. Please remember to click on the image to enlarge.
