I thought I would do another post about small birds. The Coal Tit and Blue Tit were taken at a local feeding station, while the Treecreeper was captured at the edge of a wood at Salwick,an added bonus and great suprise was to find this Black Redstart at Morcambe on Monday while Iwas there with Brian Rafferty for the waders at high tide.

A Glut of Goldfinch.
I've been concentrating on Goldfinch recently and although the weather and light hasn't been to my advantage I have managed some images of what I set out to capture. Below are a few of my better images to date.I will be posting more images of some of the Goldfinch behaviour I have been lucky enough to have seen recently.

Local Images.
A bit of a mis match of images on this post I'm afraid. The squirrel.[not one of my favorite mammals] was taken in Avenham Park the light was just perfect. The coot and shoveler were taken at Newton Marsh while the rest of the images were captured at a local feeding station.

Catching Salmon.
I know that catching salmon on rod and line is very hard to do,well trying to catch an image of one jumping up a waterfall isn't far behind.I realized when Igot home what I had done wrong,Ineed my bumps reading, the camera was set to turn off after 1 minute.so even after being pre focused on a specific spot I was to slow to catch the action as the camera had to turn itself back on first.Hey ho never mind I will be back.Shown below are a couple of my feeble efforts, also a Teal and a couple of deer images taken at Leighton Moss in fading light at iso 1250.
